THE LILTING WALL

Made it to Amsterdam, nice and rainy. Everyone here is still really tall.

Such a long trip ahead, I’ll be in the Netherlands, Denmark, France, Spain and Canada in the next few weeks. I should’ve opted for something on wheels though, this hiking backpack is currently killing me. I shared an elevator with some man who was high out of his mind, he was laughing at me carrying it, small talk failed unfortunately, as it usually does cause I  don’t know what to say, I started reading the elevator warnings inside and looked at my hotel card, “Yeah, sometimes I feel like I’m going to fall over,” is what I told him and then he said goodnight

how do I unscrupulously feed my curiosity and hide at the same time

I read the The Stranger by Albert Camus on the plane since it was a pretty long flight…such a pallid reminder of how the indifference of the universe can be both joyous and crippling at the same time.

I have learned to appreciate bright colors here, usually I am all browns, blacks and olives

the waves look like charging white horses as they build if you see them head on. also, the beach sometimes feels like a big litter box
